Why it works

Lemons are naturally antibacterial. In addition to copious amounts of Vitamin C, lemons also contain potassium, magnesium, and calcium. They’re higher in potassium than apples or grapes.

Oranges are rich in alkaline minerals and antioxidants. Orange powder is an excellent natural source of vitamin C, which is known for its immune-boosting properties and plays a role in the skin's immune system.

Pineapples are rich in vitamins C and minerals (such as manganese), which can indeed support skin health. It contains Bromelain, which is an enzyme. When used topically bromelain can act as a gentle exfoliant. How to use

• Use as a mild face wash first to unclog your pores, removing dirt and grime.

• Gently massage your skin with your fruit- based face powder with a little water or a hydrosol.

• Use light movements to massage your skin in circular motions. Leave for 15 mins.

• Option: mix a teaspoon size of face powder or more with spring or hydrosol water to form a paste.

• You can also apply to the neck and decolletage, but you’ll need to double the ingredients.

• Apply on using a medium size makeup brush, avoid getting the mixture too close to the eyes.

• Leave the mask for 15 mins.

• Wash your face with lukewarm water.

• Use cotton wool to wipe off water.

• Spray face with a hydrosol to tone & balance skin PH.

• Once your skin has absorbed the hydrosol, lock in moisture with a nourishing oil or a rich hydrating cream • Don’t exfoliate for 2-3 days after the fruit facial powder treatment.

• Use a natural sunscreen before stepping out.
